Buying kitchen cabinets online gives you control over the products, quantities, and total order. It also means every measurement and product choice must be checked before checkout. Nerro is designed for customers who already have a kitchen plan and want to buy factory-assembled, ready-to-install cabinets directly online.
This guide walks through the complete Nerro buying process, from measuring the room to receiving assembled cabinets and preparing for installation.
Who the Nerro buying model is for
Nerro is a strong fit when you want to purchase cabinets directly and already have the information needed to place an accurate order. You may be working from your own plan, a contractor's drawing, an installer's cabinet list, or a layout prepared by an independent kitchen professional.
- You want to compare products and buy directly online.
- You have accurate room and appliance measurements.
- You understand which cabinet sizes and components your layout requires.
- You want cabinet boxes assembled before delivery.
- You have arranged an installer or are managing installation separately.
If the layout, measurements, or installation conditions are not final, complete that work with a qualified independent professional before ordering. Cabinet orders should be based on confirmed dimensions, not estimates.
Step 1: Measure the room and fixed conditions
Start with the room itself. Measure each wall at more than one height because walls may not be perfectly square. Record the finished floor-to-ceiling height and the exact position of anything that affects a cabinet run.
- Wall-to-wall dimensions
- Finished ceiling height
- Window and door openings, including trim
- Plumbing supply and drain locations
- Electrical outlets and switches
- Range hood or ventilation position
- Bulkheads, radiators, columns, soffits, and other obstructions
Measure openings from both sides and check whether doors, windows, drawers, and appliances will have enough clearance to open. Your installer should review the final dimensions and site conditions before you purchase cabinets.
Step 2: Record every appliance specification
Cabinet dimensions must work with the actual appliance models, not a general category size. Record the manufacturer, model number, width, height, depth, required ventilation, electrical or gas location, and door clearance for each appliance.
- Refrigerator
- Range or cooktop
- Wall oven
- Dishwasher
- Microwave
- Range hood
- Sink and faucet
Use the appliance installation manual as the source for required clearances. A nominal 36-inch refrigerator, for example, may need additional space for ventilation and door swing.
Step 3: Choose one Nerro cabinet collection
Nerro offers two main kitchen directions. Choose the product system before building the rest of your order so the doors, cabinet boxes, panels, fillers, and finishing parts remain consistent.
Painted Cabinets
Choose Painted Cabinets when you want a painted kitchen appearance with door styles that suit classic, transitional, and clean contemporary interiors. Review the available door style and colour options before selecting cabinet sizes.
Euro Kitchen
Choose Euro Kitchen when you want a streamlined, frameless cabinet system with modern slab fronts and contemporary finishes. Review the available finish options and cabinet categories as one coordinated system.
Step 4: Build the cabinet list by function
Work through the kitchen one run at a time and add cabinets in the same order they appear on the wall. A complete kitchen may include several cabinet types.
- Upper cabinets: Wall-mounted storage above counters and appliances
- Lower cabinets: Base storage that supports the countertop
- Drawer cabinets: Pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and everyday storage
- Sink cabinets: Cabinet space prepared for the sink and plumbing
- Appliance cabinets: Fridge, stove, microwave, oven, or other appliance locations
- Corner cabinets: Upper or lower solutions for intersecting cabinet runs
- Tall or pantry cabinets: Full-height food, appliance, or utility storage
Check every product page for width, height, depth, door configuration, and included components. Confirm that the selected cabinet works with adjacent cabinets, appliances, walls, and trim.
Step 5: Add the finishing parts
A cabinet order is not complete when the boxes and doors are selected. Finishing parts close gaps, cover exposed surfaces, and create a finished installation.
- Finished panels for visible cabinet sides
- Fillers between cabinets, walls, and appliances
- Toe kicks at the base of lower and tall cabinets
- Moulding or trim included in the planned kitchen style
- Accessories and interior organizers selected for compatible cabinets
Plan fillers carefully. They provide clearance for doors and drawers near walls, corners, appliances, handles, and uneven surfaces. Missing finishing parts can leave exposed surfaces, create clearance problems, or delay installation.
Step 6: Plan for ready-to-install cabinet delivery
Nerro cabinets are factory-assembled before delivery. In industry terms, they are RTI cabinets: ready to install once they arrive at the project site. RTI is different from RTA, or ready-to-assemble, cabinets that arrive as flat panels and hardware.
Delivery flow
- Factory assembly: Nerro assembles the cabinet boxes before delivery.
- Site preparation: You confirm delivery access, dry storage, and site readiness.
- Ready for installation: The cabinets arrive ready for on-site installation, which is arranged separately.
Because assembled cabinets arrive as complete boxes, they require more delivery and storage space. Before ordering, confirm:
- Doorways, hallways, stairs, elevators, and turns are wide enough for assembled cabinets.
- The delivery address and access instructions are correct.
- A dry, secure storage area is available if installation will not begin immediately.
- The installation area is ready and protected from active construction work.
Step 7: Review the complete order before checkout
Review the shopping cart against the final kitchen plan. Check the order line by line rather than relying on visual memory.
- Cabinet collection and finish
- Product name and cabinet type
- Width, height, and depth
- Quantity
- Door and drawer configuration
- Finished sides and exposed panels
- Fillers, toe kicks, moulding, and accessories
- Appliance clearances
- Delivery access and installation timing
Have the person responsible for installation compare the final cart with the plan and site conditions before payment. This independent review is the most reliable way to catch ordering errors before checkout.
Step 8: Complete checkout and save the order record
After the product list is complete, enter the delivery and payment information, review applicable tax and delivery charges, and complete checkout. Save the order confirmation and final product list for delivery inspection and installation planning.
Nerro's current Production Time page lists estimated production and delivery of 2-3 weeks in Ontario and 3-4 weeks in Quebec. Check the page before ordering because order size, selected options, and current demand can affect the confirmed schedule.
Step 9: Inspect the cabinets after delivery
Compare the delivered items with the order confirmation before installation begins. Check the product labels, quantities, finishes, visible surfaces, and packaging condition. Keep cabinet boxes dry and protected until the installer is ready.
Do not discard packaging or order records until all products have been checked and the installation team confirms that the complete order is on site.

Frequently asked questions
Can I buy Nerro cabinets without using a kitchen designer?
Yes. Nerro is a DTC cabinet retailer. You can buy directly when you have an accurate plan, confirmed measurements, a complete product list, and an installer who has reviewed the order.
Do Nerro cabinets arrive assembled?
Yes. Nerro cabinets are assembled in Ontario before delivery. They arrive in RTI, or ready-to-install, condition, so the cabinet boxes do not need to be assembled on site.
Does Nerro measure or install kitchen cabinets?
No. Customers are responsible for room measurements, kitchen planning, product selection, site preparation, and installation.
How long do Nerro cabinets take to arrive?
The Production Time page currently lists estimated production and delivery of 2-3 weeks in Ontario and 3-4 weeks in Quebec. Check the current page before ordering; the confirmed schedule depends on the selected products, order size, and production demand.
What is the difference between Painted Cabinets and Euro Kitchen?
Painted Cabinets focus on painted door styles and a classic-to-contemporary kitchen appearance. Euro Kitchen uses a streamlined frameless system with modern slab fronts and contemporary finishes. Select one system and use compatible components throughout the order.
What should I do if my walls are uneven or the room is irregular?
Have a qualified installer or independent kitchen professional measure and plan the space before ordering. Fillers and panels can address planned clearances, but they do not replace an accurate layout.
